Chuck E. Cheese

So what do you do when you have a house full of people and 8 of them are kids. Chuck E. Cheese of course. The week of Thanksgiving my mom, sister and her kids were here. Hannah has been asking to go to Chuck E. Cheese since she found out her cousins would be here. So we ventured to see Chuck. The kids (including the big kids) had a great time. It also got the kids out of the house for a while and a chance to play and have a good time and get some prizes at the end.

Raider Soccer

So this past week Christopher had his first two High School Soccer games. High School soccer is very different then recreational soccer. It is a little more rough and is very fast paced and exciting to watch. There first game they lost by 1 point it was 3-4 score. Christopher had a great game, in fact it was so intense and a little more rough, that Christopher left the field that first game with a broken arm. But when the break happened he did score the goal, unfortunately the goalie landed on Christopher's arm and gave him a slight fracture. The doctor said that if you are going to get a broken arm his is the best place to do it. The fracture should heal in about 2 to 3 weeks and he is in a half cast. The good news is that he is still able to play. So on Thursday his team had their second game. This time they won 2-0. Christopher did well in spite of a broken arm. I can just hope that this is the only injury he suffers this season!

Gymnastics

Hannah has been taking gymnastics since August. She quickly went through the "foundation class" and has advanced to the level 1 class. She really enjoys gymnastics and is doing a great job. She has got her splits down and has a really good cartwheel. They also work on the beam, bars, and vault. This Saturday they had a fall fling. The kids got to go and show off all the stuff they had been learning. There was also a 3X Olympian John Roethlisberger there to hand out fun metals to the kids and have there picture taken with him. Hannah really enjoyed herself and was beyond happy with the metal and the goody bag she received. Unfortunately I was unable to get good pictures because the parents are behind glass and the lighting is terrible. So there are some pictures of her stretching. Not very exciting!

Undefeated!

Bryan had his last soccer game this Saturday. I am proud to say that his team was undefeated all season. The team really worked well together and they had a great coach that cared about the players and took the time to work with each of the players. I know Bryan really enjoyed this season in soccer and made some great friends along the way. I am never very good at getting great pictures of the soccer games, first it is hard since it is such a fast moving game, and second I get pretty involved and just plan forget to take pictures. Here are a couple from Bryans last game!

Fox in Sox?

I would have never guessed that I would live so close to wildlife. First we had and still do have the occasional bear and her cubs in our backyard and in our trash! But the other morning Hannah and Christopher were eating breakfast and she came running in my room, telling me that there where two foxes in our backyard. Of course I said what? So I go running to the kitchen and of course they were gone. Well again the other morning Hannah and Christopher are eating breakfast (they eat breakfast together almost every morning) and Hannah yells the foxes are back. Luckily this time I was close and so was the camera and I was able to snap some pictures of it. I am amazed and a little scared of what lives in my backyard.

Poor Abby

We really do love our adorable cat. But we cannot resist a little fun with her once in awhile. We found this at Target after Halloween and for 20cents who could resist a little laughter.

So far behind

So it has been a while since I have posted. So where do I begin. First I will begin with Halloween. This years Halloween was different from any other we have had. We were all in different places. Hannah and I went to a very fun Halloween party at our friends house. There was lot's of good food and lot's of kids and they really enjoyed trick or treating in a very large group ( I am sure the people were overwhelmed by our large group running up to there door.) It was a lot of fun and Hannah and I enjoyed ourselves but I felt strange that it was just her and I. Carissa and Christopher were at the High School Homecoming Football game. And Bryan went out trick or treating with his friends. And Matt, well Matt was at work (where he always is). All in all it was a fun day and Hannah was the cutest Snow Princess you can imagine. She had such a great time that when we got home she crashed on the floor.


On Nov.1 Carissa had the homecoming dance. Carissa borrowed a dress from a friend another friends mom did her hair and I did her make-up. All in all the dance cost me 20 dollars for her shoes and wrap. What a deal! Her date was very polite and kept calling me Ma'am. He has two military parents and is in ROTC, I told him he was making me feel very old. All in all Carissa looked beautiful and had a great time.


Besides that right now our life is revolving around High School soccer, practices, working varsity games, and fundraisers oh the fun of it all. We are looking forward to Christopher's first game on Nov. 11Th. Oh yea, I almost forgot he is a starter and is playing center forward. Hopefully I will have some great things to post from the game. All in all we are staying very busy and loving life!
